ASH JANGDA

Composer /// Musician /// Educator

Born and raised in Miami, Florida, Ash Jangda is an American guitarist, composer, musical director, and educator celebrated for his ability to move seamlessly between genres—from jazz and R&B to pop, rock, funk, hip-hop, and gospel. Since the age of 7, he has devoted himself to the guitar, building a global career across various genres.

During his early musical years, he was self-taught and shaped by Miami's diverse sounds. He later pursued formal training in jazz performance at Florida International University. There, he developed a deep command of theory, technique, and improvisation. After cutting his teeth in Central Florida's gospel and R&B scenes, Ash moved to Los Angeles, where he established himself as a first-call guitarist and session player.

His credits span multiple genres, and he has worked with legends such as Quincy Jones. Ash has performed and recorded with an impressive roster of world-class musicians, including Wyclef Jean, Faith Evans, Bobby Brown, Willow Smith, Jaden Smith, Sam Sparro, Tichina Arnold, Aiyanna Lee, Dave Koz, Arturo Sandoval, Michael Brecker, Fred Hammond, and Israel Houghton. His playing can be heard across albums, tours, and broadcast performances—including sessions such as Too $hort’s NPR Tiny Desk (Home) Concert.

Beyond the stage, Ash is a composer, educator, and musical director, leading clinics, recording sessions, and online lessons that emphasize creativity, tone, and musicality. His tone and technique have earned him endorsements from top gear brands, including D’Angelico, G&L Guitars, Taylor, Strymon, Xotic Effects, Quilter, and Nordstrand Audio.

Rooted in jazz but fluent in every style, Ash Jangda approaches music with the belief that groove and emotion come first—and that the guitar is a limitless voice for connection and expression. Whether he’s laying down a soulful solo, crafting a lush studio track, or guiding a student through complex harmony, Ash Jangda approaches every note with artistry and authenticity. His mission is simple: to make music that moves people—emotionally, rhythmically, and spiritually.
